Kosyo Minchev—one of the “bad boys” of the 90s and a member of the controversial XXL Group—returns from New York. He presents his current perspective on the position of the male role in the modern world. The exhibition examines themes related to values and the relationship between man and woman in the context of a globalized technological world, the way they communicate while physically separated across two continents, yet together mentally and emotionally. This is likely another creative experiment by the artist, who handles the messages in his sculptures quite extravagantly and is, not surprisingly, valued and followed by collectors across the ocean. Lyudmila Magdalena is his muse and beloved, who inspires his latest creative endeavors. The exhibition represents an attempt to comprehend the change in the relationship between man and woman, the change in perspective from the position of an observer or rather a researcher, as the two partners define themselves. The artistic couple presents a theme together for the first time, which is divided into two parts—the exhibition SIGNAL is a kind of study of HER by HIM in the halls of the UBA, while SON explores the male image at ONE Gallery. The exhibition poses many questions, perhaps the most important of which is: can there be a conscious synchronicity between her and him, between two vivid personalities!?
