Exhibition “TRANSFIGURATION” | Michel Salzmann | 18–22.09.2026

Opening: September 19, 2026 (Saturday) at 6:00 PM

Transfiguration is the profound, drastic alchemy of shifting states – a condition of existence captured in fluid poetry. These paintings serve as a threshold where the artist’s core themes collide: private grief and global fractures. Confronting the sheer fatality of these forces, the artwork becomes an exercise in humility. Through spectral layers and dissolving forms, the finality of death dissolves into memory, while the fragile metamorphosis of youth is caught in brushstrokes balancing between innocence and independence.

This transformation ripples outward, tracing the bruised horizons of a changing planet and the silent, heavy frictions within the home. Through dense texture and shifting compositions, the artwork invites the viewer to witness the beauty, the ache, and the necessity of mutation – lingering at the precise hedge where one world ends and another begins to breathe.
