Transatlantic Art Discourse Bret Eberhardt Anthony Fisher Brian MacFarlane Elena Peteva Susan Sheehan Svilen Stefanov 01.07 – 30.07.2022 This American–Bulgarian exhibition presents six artists, each with a distinct vision and voice, in a discourse on experiencing and reflecting on the moment we call “now.” A rich diversity of visual languages—figuration, abstraction, metaphor, and invention—comes together in this exhibition of painting and drawing. Contemporary individual, social, and global conditions take on different forms, refracted through each artist’s perspective, and invite the viewer into an intercultural conversation about what we call “now.” This exchange exhibition project has been developing for years. Its first part was the exhibition of four contemporary Bulgarian artists at Laconia Gallery in Boston in 2017. In this second exhibition, ONE+ Gallery creates a forum for a creative discourse between the four artists from the United States and the two curators.
