Known as an underwater photographer, I have spent years capturing the stories of the world hidden beneath the water’s surface. After 17 exhibitions dedicated entirely to underwater photography, I am honored to present to you my first above-water exhibition – “Devon.” The name is a nod to the geological period when life emerged from the water onto land. This exhibition marks my own transition – my personal emergence to the surface. It is an attempt to tell the story of the world I encountered through the eyes of someone trying to peer beyond the visible. “Devon” is not just a collection of photographs, but a travelogue of the time that accumulates within us, of the memories that build us, and of the freedom we discover when we dare to explore new horizons. In your hands, you hold an album about the transitional – not about what passes away, but about what builds up within us. About the small moments that shape us: from the comfort of an old home and the silence of a mother’s embrace to the endless roads that lead us to self-discovery. Every photograph here is a piece of a grand cinematic plot without a main character. Within these pages, memories meet the freedom sought in vast expanses. A journey that proves the most precious things are not buried in the earth, but engraved in our souls. Let this album be a reminder that every sunset and every parting is simply the beginning of a new adventure, and the most important things are always within reach.
