“Carousel” 10.12.2024 – 05.01.2025 г. YOKO+INA Ina Vasileva-INA Viktor Chuchkov Rosen Toshev The exhibition is a visual journey that brings together the circularity of time, repetition in life, and the symbolism of the carousel. Like the movement of a carousel—at once joyful and nostalgic—the show explores cyclicality as an enduring part of human existence. Gathered into a shared, “spinning” narrative, the works in the exhibition span different media—painting, sculpture, photography, video art, and installations. They raise questions about memory, time, and the fragility of moments that seem to return, yet are never the same. The carousel, as a metaphor, expresses childhood innocence, but also life’s ceaseless круговорот—joy and melancholy, beginning and end, stillness and motion. In the artists’ visual language it becomes a symbol of repetition, play, and nostalgia. The public will encounter both bright, colorful images that bring a smile, and darker, more introspective works that reveal the other side of the illusion of endless turning. The exhibition also offers interactive elements that invite viewers to join the “carousel”—whether through physical participation or through emotional or intellectual immersion. These moments of interaction aim to remind us that, although life often seems like a closed circle, it always holds the possibility of a new beginning and a new point of view. “Carousel” is not just an exhibition, but an experience—a space where everyone can discover a fragment of their own story, set in motion through time and space. The merry-go-round turns—and you are invited to get on.
