Deyan Valkov (b. 1971) is a prominent Bulgarian artist whose work is deeply connected to the rich artistic traditions of his homeland. Born in the historic city of Silistra, his interest in art manifested at an early age. His artistic education began at the Sofia Art School, where he developed his skills and built a sensitivity toward the language and nuances of visual expression. After graduating in 1990, he continued his studies at the National Academy of Arts in Sofia, specializing in Mural Painting. This in-depth academic training, completed in 2000, allowed him to explore and master the complexities of monumental painting and large-scale works.
Valkov’s work is distinguished by its specific approach to mural painting and contemporary fine art. He utilizes a variety of materials and techniques that reflect his experimental spirit.
